While Salt students were visiting Monty Washburn to learn about fiddleheads, Washburn also covered the topic of whistle making. Mark DeTeso documents the whistle making process as explained by Washburn.

After joining Bert McBurnie into the wilderness at Chesuncook Lake to look for a lost hunter, Salt students speak to the hunter after he is found.

The WINGS (Women in Nurturing Group Support) support group aimed to help single mothers and women who were living in poverty by providing advice and assistance. Gerrie Brown, who ran this support group, is the focus of James Sylvan's research, which highlights Brown's work and her personal life.

After several hours of preparation, 12 Salt students were guided by Reid Chapman on making apple cider the old fashioned way. Ann Bath and others document the process Chapman goes through to make his cider.
